Walking has become a major passion. Ange and I started walked again about 15 years in an effort to improve our fitness. First we just did  circular walks in our local area, but now we have become hooked on long distance paths. Our model is to do do the path in sequence over a period of time rather than all in one go. We have completed, among others, the Cotswold Way, the Oxfordshire Way, the Stour Valley Path, the Ridgeway and the Wayfarer’s Walk.   Since 2007 I have written a blog called Walking in the Country which, despite the name, covers both country and urban walks.

Our greatest achievement has been to complete the 630 mile South West Coast Path which runs from Poole to Dorset. It took us seven years in all and may have been one of the slowest completions since records began, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Here is a selection of pictures from the journey. The full story can be found on a dedicated blog, Poole to Minehead.
